Steeple Jason Island, The Falkland Islands (Malvinas) (November 2022)
This image was taken during the Fabulous Falklands trip organised by Natures Images in association with Falkland Islands Holidays and led by Mark Sisson. Steeple Jason is home to the world's largest colony of any species of albatross (black-browed). It is estimated to contain 200,000 breeding pairs and stretches for over 4 miles along the south-western coast of the island.
This is the only building, apart from outhouses, on Steeple Jason. There is a small landing stage (bottom right) within a rocky inlet. Transfer to the island is by zodiac from a larger boat, the SeaQuest.
