This image was taken during a trip organised by Natures Images and led by Danny Green and Paul Hobson. Permission was obtained from the landowner to erect four dome hides next to a private pond.

Generally the male Long-tailed Ducks were floating around apparently half-asleep but they soon exploded into action if another duck drifted or landed too close to them.
