Captive animal. Tourists on the day-trip are able to walk with and hand-feed female elephants at PTWRC. However, the male elephants are more aggressive and unpredictable so tourists are not allowed to approach them closely. This image of Chhouk was taken through bars while his prosthetic foot was changed.
