Scottish Osprey bursts from water with fish at Rothiemurchus

Rothiemurchus Fishery, Aviemore, Cairngorms National Park, Inverness-shire, Scotland (August 2014)
The hide sessions at Rothiemurchus were led by GJ Wildlife Photography. Day 1 morning session (4:30 am - 10:00 am) resulted in 5 successful dives for fish at 6:18 am, 9:12 am, 9:14 am (Red 8T), 9:16 am and 9:33 am (Red 8T again). Day 1 afternoon session (4:30 pm onwards) produced 2 successful dives at 6:11 pm and 6:39 pm (Red 8T). Day 2 morning session led to 3 out of 4 successful dives at 5:23 am (Red 8T), 8:50 am, 9:02 am (no fish) and 9:03 am. It rained heavily during the afternoon session of day 2 and there were no dives into the water although many were aborted.
