Seen at the far side of the South Crane Pond. This image was taken during a trip organised by Natures Images and led by Chris Gomersall and Ellie Rothnie.

The Bald Eagle was believed to have killed a Snow Goose (though this was not seen) hence all the white feathers. Other scavengers such as a female Northern Harrier and Common Ravens were gathering hoping for a share of the carcass. A Rough-legged Hawk appeared later when the Bald Eagle took off.
