This image was taken during a trip organised by Natures Images and led by Danny Green and Paul Hobson. A slow shutter speed of 1/20 sec was used to blur the fast-flowing water. This technique has a high failure rate due to movement of the subject and/or camera (tripod-mounted). Harlequin Ducks are regularly seen in the rapids and in flight along this stretch of the River Laxa (The Icelandic Birding Pages - Where to find birds in Iceland).
