Pacific Golden Plover wading, Hawaii

Pacific Golden Plover is difficult to distinguish from American Golden Plover. The ranges of the two species only overlap in western Alaska but the former migrates to the Pacific Islands (and even on to Australasia) while the latter migrates to South America.
