Near Tomatin, Findhorn Valley, Highland, Scotland (August 2014)
Also known as Willow Grouse, Willow Ptarmigan.The Red Grouse is of the subspecies scotica which is native to the UK and Ireland. This is probably an immature male bird as it has a red eyebrow and is showing some darker plumage on its body.
