Strokkur erupts

Haukadalur valley, Iceland (February 2010)
Strokkur (translates as churn) is a geyser which erupts regularly every 4 or 5 minutes. Not a good idea to stand down-wind of an eruption unless you don't mind getting covered in spray! The Haukadalur valley is one of the top three tourist attractions on the Golden Circle.
