Viet Cong hut on canal bank at Xeo Quyt, Vietnam

The trip to Xeo Quyt and Gao Giong was organised by Mekong Riverside Resort & Spa. Xeo Quyt Forest is a nature reserve which contains some relics of the Vietnam War (or American War as it is called in Vietnam). Tourists are able to take a short boat tour along a narrow canal in the forest and walk a trail past well-hidden Viet Cong bunkers and huts. Occasionally the canal widens significantly where there are bomb craters.
