Wandering Tattler on Ke'e Beach, Kauai

Ke'e Beach, Ha'ena State Park, Kauai, Hawaiian Islands, USA (August 2015)
Ke'e Beach at low tide was a good place to see Wandering Tattlers. A walk along the beach resulted in encounters with three or four birds spaced at intervals. The birds were very approachable.
Ke'e Beach marks the end of the road along Kauai's north coast and the start of the Kalalau Trail. This difficult trail into the beautiful Napali Coast State Wilderness Park is popular with hikers so the Ke'e Beach car park fills up quickly each day. It is best to get there early to guarantee a parking spot.
