Dettifoss waterfall, Iceland - Iceland
Dettifoss, Iceland (June 2017)

This image was taken during a trip organised by Natures Images and led by Danny Green and Paul Hobson.

Dettifoss is a waterfall near Lake Myvatn. It was used as a location in the opening sequence of the science-fiction film Prometheus (2012).

The group took a trip to Dettifoss hoping to find Ptarmigan nearby but instead had good views of Whimbrel, Golden Plover, Black-tailed Godwit and Redwing.
