The Reykjanesviti lighthouse is close to the Gunnuhver hot springs and sits on top of a small hill. It was the first lighthouse erected on the coast of Iceland in 1873. The image shows the new lighthouse; the original octagonal one was destroyed in an earthquake. This photo was taken from close to the Great Auk memorial.
