Brown Bear family at Martinselkonen

This photo was taken on a Nature Images Finland Bears trip led by Mark Sisson. It is quite difficult to get an image of all a Bear family, mother and cubs, looking up instead of feeding with heads down; dog food is used to attract the Bears. In this case, all four looked up when another Bear family passed by in front out of shot. This photograph was taken at 9:55 pm; sunset was at midnight and sunrise at about 2:30 am. Photographers remain in the hides overnight until about 7:00 am the next morning.
