Brown Bear family in the swamp at Martinselkonen

This photo was taken on a Nature Images Finland Bears trip led by Mark Sisson.
It is quite difficult to get an image of all a Bear family, mother and cubs, looking up instead of feeding with heads down; dog food is used to attract the Bears. In this case, all four were keeping an eye open for other Bears arriving at the swamp. This photograph was taken at 9:50 pm; sunset was at midnight and sunrise at about 2:30 am. Photographers remain in the hides overnight until about 7:00 am the next morning.
